“Civilization - What a time! »Presents the work of one hundred and ten photographers from five continents. Bringing together young talents as well-known artists, this exhibition brings together more than 200 original prints by Massimo Vitali, Pieter Hugo, Lauren Greenfield, Wang Qingsong, Raphaël Dallaporta, Valérie Belin, Thomas Struth, Candida Höfer ... Together, they draw a portrait plural of our time.
“Civilization - What a time! »Is interested in civilization as it is in the 21st century century, from one end of the planet to the other, with a particular interest for what brings us together, for what is shared collectively, in a world where very often the values of individualism dominate. It takes on a particular relief as a reflection of the world before the Covid-19 pandemic.
Housing, work, leisure, transport, education, arts, sciences, technologies… All over the world, photographers observe, record, interpret, and of course immortalize, the world as it is. Thanks to their work, this unprecedented exhibition offers a global vision of everything that today makes up our
“civilization”.
Civilisation is supported by Principal Partner AUT with Major Partners Beca and Jasmax, and Media Partners QMS and Mai FM.
A major publication has been produced by Thames & Hudson in parallel with the exhibition.
